We want to give you feedback

Posted by Jon Gildersleeve on April 20, 2011 at 6:10 PM

We ask Keepers to post how they feel they are developing and Vince will give his feedback on how you are doing whilst he or our coaches are coaching you, .

Vince and Jon want all keepers to feel that we are developing each and everyone to play at the highest level, not to just be taking your money week in week out.

One thing is for sure we will always be honest with you.

We can also offer one2one sessions to improve on the things we agree that need concentrating on.

To ask for feedback please click on the comments button on the right hand side, first add your email address and then sign in, remember to include your keepers name and Vince will reply, as soon as possible.

Please revisit for the feedback but feel free to post any suggestions or questions relating to your own indivial need.

Tommy Lyons has been using the goalkeeping school for nearly a year now and absolutely loves it, his confidence has grow enormously and now plays in goal for both school and district. I do feel however Tommy needs work on when to come off his line and when to stay on it sometimes his lack of judgement lets him down or does that all come with practice i also feel he needs to be more vocal as i hear other goalies shouting and tommy doesnt. i know that if you can work on this you will which is why we use the school knowing you will do all you can to improve each child as you see them all as individuals not as a group .

Ive been trainging with vince at barking football club since christmas and it is a well trained session where we basically be coached on how to learn the basics and techniques of keeping , i think to make it better is to let the trainers go round and spectate us in individuals not as a big group and tell us what we need to improve on so we could then go off and do that :)

Rowan has been attending the goalkeeping sessions for over a year. During that time he has improved a lot. Although he doesn't play for a team he has started playing in goal for the school team and this has improved his confidence both on and off the pitch. He really enjoys the Monday training sessions and I think they are very good value for money. Rowan was pleased to receive the 'Goalie of the Month' award in March.

Great course today, Arun thoroughly enjoyed it... Have you ever thought about splitting the courses into two different days for two different age groups? Just a thought :)

Hi Beverley I would love to devote more time but sadly my full time job takes up
my time but I will consider your suggestion in future sessions Arun trains with
a fixed grin and he has improved and I will keep encouraging and pushing him as
I know he wants to succeed in his position see you soon V

Hi Billy there are many aspects to work on as a keeper and my aim is to cover
different ones at every session and I am happy to work on an aspect they you
feel needs closer attention because to identify the finer points of an
individuals needs I need to see you in a match situation see you soon V

Hi Lisa. Starting in June I will be aiming to do phase of play situations to get
the keepers to make decisions which will encourage them to be more vocal and
teach them when what and how to communicate to teammates and I know Tommy will
enjoy learning as he certainly has the ability V
